The Stoa of Attalos is at the heart of Athens city centre, ancient and modern. Made of Pentelic marble and limestone, it stands out for its impressively long colonnades. In the 1950s it was fully reconstructed and now houses the Ancient Agora Museum, a celebration of the birth of democracy.
For its strong symbolism and distinctive character, the Stoa of Attalos was chosen as the venue for the formal ceremony and signing of the EU Accession Treaty in 2003. Recently restored, it can now be booked for presentations, lectures and select meetings. To find out how, contact us.
